Research Overview
The overarching research theme of the Ladewig Group is the development of novel membranes and membrane processes for clean energy and environmental applications. Within that broad framework, a number of specific projects are underway, and these are summarised below.
Fuel cells
The group has a general interest in fuel cells, in particular with respect to the various types of electrolyte membranes used, and also some catalyst development work.
Metal organic frameworks
Responsive nanocomposite metal-organic framework membranes for gas separation applications
Ion exchange membranes
Novel multilayered polymer membranes for commodity chemical production using bioelectrochemical systems.
